In the spring of 1944, the 104th Medical Battalion of the United States Army is disbanded, and its men reassigned to various infantry companies in preparation for their invasion of occupied France. Summary
Doctor House has not seen any patients in over a decade. Not because he's dead, he's past that part of his life but because he kind-of hates himself and his legacy. That and he also wants to run away from it, and the consequences that he would face if he took up the profession again, still he kept his medical degree. It would have stayed that way forever if someone wasn't brave enough to pick up the phone, and he got his hands on a new puzzle.
Mafuyu is dying, not dead but dying. She contracted Hanahaki and decided that she would die from it, she almost did three times in fact, but each time her life was "saved" just so she can throw it away again. Fortunately instead of undergoing another surgery that would definitely work this time, she actually confessed to her crush. It was great, she was laughing, her crush was laughing, the Hanahaki that went on the floor was laughing, everyone had a wonderful time. Unfortunately that Hanahaki was connected to 70% of her vital organs, and the hospital doesn't exactly have the budget to replace those organs but there is a sliver lining, anything House touches turns to gold.
In other words: House saves Mafuyu's life with the power of Nepotism.
