“We’re not even that far from the station,” you defended, folding your arms.
“You’re also not bulletproof,” Mingi added easily, stepping forward to pluck your phone from your hand and check it for himself. “Battery’s almost dead too. Perfect.”
“Hey!” you reached for it, but he just held it out of reach with a knowing smirk.
“Relax, sweetheart,” he murmured. “We’re just making sure you don’t get yourself kidnapped.”
Your stomach flipped again. You hated the way he said that nickname like it meant something.
Yunho rolled his eyes, muttering something about dramatics under his breath as he popped the trunk and tossed your bag inside. “She gets all bratty when she’s tired,” he added helpfully. “Don’t let her bite you.”
