Summary
Everyone knows Chief of Staff to the First Lady of the United States, Donna Moss, hates Halloween.
Or at least, Donna lets them think so. It’s better than everyone knowing the truth.
Still, Donna wishes the First Lady weren't so oblivious.(My attempt at answering the question of who Rogue's real parents are, and how Mystique and Irene might have gotten their hands on her.)
Set primarily in the first season of Evolution, and the third year of Matt Santos' first term as President. Knowledge of The West Wing not required, but will fill in some unnecessary background information.

Summary

Logan and Charles discuss deadbeat dads, self-counseling children, and things that probably should not be done with strawberries.
An AU fix-fic wherein Charles Xavier is as aggressively protective of his children in the early seasons as he is later on, and Kurt and Rogue's relationship has more surprising and useful ripple effects.

An AU wherein Kurt gives up his crush on Kitty much sooner, and is drawn to Rogue instead. She appreciates that he's not completely oblivious to her own feelings, and the two recluses stumble around each other with all the shared flustered, fumbling lack of social experience they can muster.
Somehow they meet in the middle, and by the time they find out they were supposed to be related, it’s far too late…for Mystique’s plans, at least.
Inspired by Luke and Leia’s attraction in Empire Strikes Back, and the classic question of what might have happened if they never knew the truth and there was no Han.

Lal doesn't die, and isn't taken away by Starfleet, but doesn't survive unscathed. She's growing up just in time for an intergalactic political crisis of her father's making, the Borg, Veridian III, the Dominion War and everything that will come after and in between.
Someday, she'll have her picture in the encyclopedia next to "Butterfly Effect." Someday, far too late for several of the enemies her conscience would not let her avoid making, people will realize she might be her father's daughter, but she is most certainly not her father. Ellie gathered every bit of courage she had, her little chest rising and falling fast, and finally cracked her eyes open. She blinked hard, adjusting to the light. Her gaze darted around her room. Her rug was scattered with crayons, blocks, Barbie dolls, and a heap of clothes from when Mommy had rushed to change her. On her nightstand sat her water bottle, the book Mommy read to her last night, and a framed photo of her birthday, her with Mommy and Wory, all smiling.
Finally, her gaze lifted to the woman holding her, and the world steadied. Her mommy. Her beautiful, sleepy-eyed mommy, looking down at her with eyes the brightest blue, filled with love so big it made Ellie’s chest ache. Her hair was messy from sleep, curls falling every which way, and freckles dotted her cheeks and neck like little stars Ellie liked to count. Lorelai’s lips curved into a small, patient smile as she waited.
Ellie let out a shaky breath, her little hands rubbing at her eyes. She was home.
