Summary
All in all, these five months and two weeks had completely, entirely, and unequivocally been the best time of Will's life. It wasn’t a hard standard to reach, considering the other 200-something months he’d lived, but it really couldn’t get better than Mike Wheeler buying you Thai food and calling you baby.
Well, maybe one thing; which was that Mike was changing.
Or, 5 times Mike discovers himself, one friend at a time, and once where he does it all by himself

Summary
Well shit, Robin thought, as she came to a conclusion. And then again as she realised she would have to be the person to talk to about him about it.
"You're scared of him, aren't you?" she said, more of a statement than anything.
Lucas nodded slowly, reluctant. "Yeah. Yeah, I think I am."

Summary
Even though the air was cold, Lucas's face was still warm from all the dancing in the gym.
He cleared his throat, figuring he should say something.
"Did you have fun?"
"Yeah, it didn't suck," Max said, zipping up her winter coat better. Coming from her, it was high praise.
"Cool," Lucas nodded.
His hand came up to rub the back of his head.
"I—I had fun, too."
He could see a smirk pulling at the corner of Max's lips.
"Cool," she said.***

Summary
Time and time again, Mike the Brave had overcome his fears and fought for his happy ending.
Now, it was Mike Wheeler’s turn to do the same.
“Will, wait.”
Will stopped at the bottom of the stairs and turned to him. “Yeah?”
His eyebrows lifted slightly as he watched Mike stand up. Mike felt his throat dry up instantly, but he couldn't back down, not this time. It was now or never.
“I need to tell you something”OR: after everyone goes upstairs to eat lasagna, Mike finally chooses to be brave.
