    Summary

Mulder and Scully are taken to the Pacific Northwest to investigate a legend from the old Oregon Trail along with a string of odd deaths. As usual, Mulder is quick to believe the legend about a spirit that could conjure a person's innermost desires and compel them to act. Scully of course tries to ground him in her scientific POV. Not to mention, Scully is mistakenly assigned a Honeymoon Suite which causes both of their wildest fantasies to unfold.

    Summary

Dana was studying to become a doctor in Baltimore when it happened. As small as a poppy seed.
Her entire world shifted. Her mother had found it shameful, her father, unforgivable. Daniel had found it impossible. Mulder found it… fascinating.

'His heart ached for her, and the terrible things that must have led her to even consider this arrangement.
He had to say something, he had to give her a chance to turn around and make a better decision.

‘Is this what you want, Dana?’ He asked abruptly, stepping further into her personal space than he had before.

She felt her entire world still, and a raw pain shot through her. Not one person in her life had cared to ask her that yet.

‘It is what must be done.’ She said simply, and the air stung around her words.

He nodded, his eyes dropping from hers to somewhere over her shoulder. He didn’t move away, and Dana felt a scorching heat envelop her body in his presence. She thought it must be fear, or perhaps just a symptom of her situation.
It suffocated her, the dry heat, the deep, woodsy smell of him, the insanity of his questioning. It was all too much.'

    Summary

A psychological experiment: pushing Mulder to the edge through jealousy he believes is justified… but isn’t.

Told in alternating first‑person POVs (Mulder and Scully), this story unravels a web of misunderstandings, dark humor, and a threat neither of them sees coming.

Key promise: No infidelity. Scully’s loyalty is absolute — but her silence might cost them everything.

Genre: Psychological thriller, angst, dark comedy.

    Summary

Following on immediately from My Stranger In The Night, Mulder & Scully have a painful journey back to each other after being separated by a criminal that demands Mulder's attention. Guilt and trauma are brought to the surface as long-buried truths finally come to light.

Their love is one that endures and overcomes, and they lean on each other for comfort and support as they navigate the uneven path of healing.

'Mulder swept through the scene, feeling like an outsider in his own home, struggling between the urge to crumple into a pile on the floor by her shoes, and the practised instinct to catalogue evidence.
Looking at any part of their life together as pieces of evidence made his hands clench painfully and his mouth dry out.
He wanted to be able to detach, to observe and compile clues, but then the sight of her keys, her cardigan, or her half-finished cup of tea would gut him and threaten to bring him to his knees.
The apartment was foggy with memories, too dark for him to see a thing. The scene was covered in her.
A week ago, he was planning their future, preparing himself to become a man she could marry, and love. Now he was looking for clues in the mess of their lives.'
