Only once. Just that one time a volleyball hit him in the face, yet Sawamura Eijun's life changed 180 degrees.
For Sawamura Eijun, baseball was his life. He ate, slept, and studied, and all he could think about was baseball. The people around him went so far as to call him a baseball maniac, ever since he was a child.
Without baseball for him, he feels incomplete. It was as if half of his life was missing.
However, the moment a volleyball hit his face, a new light of life seemed to shine on the newly opened path in front of him. The temptation was very strong. To the point that the only thoughts in his head that were always about baseball slowly but surely began to be replaced with that.
He had never been this conflicted in his life.
But whatever decision he would choose in the future. There was one fact that he could never disregard.
He, could never hate baseball completely.

Once again, Miyuki leaned into Eijun's personal space and draped an arm around his neck. “Well, Sawamura, I guess we’ll get through this together. Right, partner?”
Eijun gulped and looked down at Miyuki’s limp hand, wondering where he got off calling Eijun his partner after they'd barely met. “Yeah, I guess we will.”
