Crowley's finally cutting and running from his abusive pack and relationship, and it's just his luck that he's too big now to fit all the way down the tunnel entrance to the old den he fashioned in his much more hopeful, naive youth. But imperfect or not, it's going to have to do for a hiding place until his pack gives up the chase; he just hopes there will still be time after they've moved on to find somewhere else to ride out his heat.

Small sparks fly into the air with the intensity of their strikes, and the force of it makes their weapons sing a wavering, metallic tune, setting a tempo to their deadly dance. Link wears a manic smile, bearing his blunt teeth in return to Sidon’s wicked grin. Every dodge, jump, and lunge causes his golden hair to flow about him, haloing him as if he were some divine fierce deity.
Link was ethereal.
And Sidon was captivated.
