Not only did she not want any people close, she didn't want any doctors, helpers, or strangers. Strangers, she didn't know how to read because people who are supposed to help only hurt. People say one thing, then do something opposite. People revealing their true selves— the evil self. Selves without compassion.
Wanda didn't want to find out what kind of person Rio was. A stranger, that's it. Wanda did not want any more disappointments, even if she had already stopped being overly naive.
