Summary
"I don’t know what kind of Station you are running Chief, but I suggest you start to get your house in order.”
Not expecting this conversation, Boden's brain finally caught up with him, "yes, 2nd shift is in dire need of another permanent medic we can't keep going with all the floaters Central is sending us and Dawson is still adjusting to being back on 61” he feebly excused.
With an interested look spreading across her face "Still on the lookout for a new medic - I might know a person, leave it with me" Trudy announces with a glint in her eye, before getting off her seat and walking back to the table she had been sitting at with Mouch.

Summary
To say Sylvie is surprised by today’s turn of events would be an overstatement. Did she hope she left these sort of occurrences behind in Chicago? Yes. Did she think she really did? No.
So, no, she isn’t surprised when she looks up and sees a car heading straight toward the ambo just a few hours into her fourth ever shift with Portland FD.
They just parked at a vehicle accident. Her partner had already stepped out of the driver’s side, but just as Sylvie reaches for her door handle a car comes speeding out of opposing traffic and rams the ambo head on. Sending the ambulance backwards into the existing vehicle accident.

Summary
Reluctantly, Sylvie pushes at his chest, and he pulls away, nips at her earlobe as an involuntary moan escapes her. He whispers filthy things in her ear, details everything he wants to do to her with his mouth, promises to make her feel good.
Sylvie’s not one to curse very often, but she feels this situation warrants it, and fuck. She thinks her brain short circuits for a second there, because Matt Casey has never said anything like that to her before, nothing even remotely close.
And she doesn’t know what shocks her more. The words he said to her, or just how much she wants him to follow through with his promise.

Greg never sees Matt's name on Sylvie's phone.

Summary
She wouldn’t have expected herself to be so quick to accept his offer; but there was something about the captain that just made her feel… comfortable. Like she could be herself without judgement and without expectations. The more she sat there, the more she realised she’d always felt like that around him. Their friendship was never something she’d thought about in detail. He was kind of just this great guy that was always there, on the outskirts as she lived her life.
But she couldn’t shake the feeling that she was about to unlock something interesting and special with him. Like she was about to discover a great friendship that she’d been letting pass her by.
Suddenly, drinking and eating with Matt Casey seemed like an excellent idea.

Summary
She does as asked, opening her mouth. She feels plastic slip under the right side of her tongue, and she clumsily takes hold of the thermometer as she listens to Matt shuffling around. When the shrill beep sounds, her eyes crack open as she pulls the instrument out. The small screen is lit up red, and the numbers read ‘100.9’. What a great first Thanksgiving together, she thinks morosely.
Or, the season ten au, thanksgiving edition.
