Hermione’s hand was poised above the door knob. She stood outside the small shop for several minutes before she even approached the wooden door. It was almost closing time. She watched him help a customer through the picture window for some time, hidden in the street’s dark shadows at the junction of Diagon and Knockturn Alleys. Her eyes took in the bold lettering of the store sign, The Poisoned Pen, Books and Potions, Est. 2008. She smiled at the name despite her nerves.

Following the events of the second wizarding war, Hermione Granger is struggling. Her friends and found family have all moved on from the events, but Hermione can’t. Grief and guilt consume her - leading her to self-destructive tendencies as she attempts to complete her eighth year at Hogwarts.
It isn’t until an unlikely friendship forms with Draco Malfoy that she is able to face her demons and look towards the future.
But in that future, the man who has saved her is still despised by many. He’s been stricken from society and left with no career prospects and a name that inspires anger and hatred.
When their relationship comes to light, it is placed under a scrutiny neither of them could have ever dreamed of.
And Hermione is left with the question, will Draco Malfoy remain the love of her life…
Or the loss of her life.

“You told me—” Taehyung’s voice was raw, breaking, as he stepped forward. One slow step, then another. His words came like pieces of glass in his throat. “You told me some sweet guy hit your bike. That you overreacted. That he—he went out of his way to make it right. Bought you a brand new motorcycle. Your bike. Your winning fucking trophy.”
Another step forward.
“But what you failed to tell me…” Taehyung’s voice grew louder, harsher, his steps quicker now, “…was that you called him a slur. That you were a homophobic fuck to Park Jimin.”
He stopped right in front of him, so close their noses nearly brushed. His chest heaved, eyes burning with betrayal. Jungkook didn’t move, couldn’t move—head bowed, jaw clenched tight.
Taehyung’s shout ripped the air open. “Did you think I wouldn’t find out? Did you think I wouldn’t fucking care?”
