Lan Sizhui has a lot of respect for the rules. He gets why they are there, how they help keep people in order, and peace in the world.
Such as, no killing in the Cloud Recesses, or, talking behind other people’s back is prohibited.
But there are others he isn’t a fan of, for example, do not smile foolishly, do not laugh for no reason, do not grieve in excess, and his personal least favorite, do not go near Wei Ying.

From the other line there was a muffled chuckle.
“I suggest you pick him up, we’ve tried everything but he’s not calming down. But can you tell Wuxian not to kill his brother just yet? We have dinner reservations in two weeks.”
Wei Ying not realizing before that the other line could hear him, cursed as his face went up in flames.
“Great now your brother knows we’re having sex! This day can’t get any worse!”
