Summary
Akutagawa shrugs, and it's once again silence between them. And the problem is exactly with this, right there and right now.
How their bickering and banter has shifted; changed so quietly that even Atsushi wasn't aware of it. These days, Akutagawa's insults doesn't feel like actual insults. They have more normal conversations, and some teasings here and there. Akutagawa has changed, and Atsushi doesn't know why.
When Atsushi tries to steal a glance from Akutagawa, he's startled to find the other man already looking at him from the corner of his eyes.
Something shines in Akutagawa's eyes, and Atsushi has no idea what.

He wished he wouldn't look at him with such devoted eyes.

Atsushi blinks up at him, looking genuinely confused. He tilts his head, looking more like a lost puppy than a freaking weretiger.
"I don't understand." He looks Akutagawa up and down, then raises his brow, " you look pretty damn perfect to me."

Summary

His eyes fell to Shang Qinghua’s hands.
Shang Qinghua held them out. He never felt embarrassed that he didn’t have a soulmate—just annoyed. Sad, sometimes, too. A lot of the time, really. He’d rather just say it, though, than have to watch people look for it and come up short every time. A terribly pitiful look would pass over their face whenever that happened. “No romantic soulmate,” he said softly.
Mobei Jun held his empty hands out, too, as an answer.
