The woman, Talia, moves over, starting to play with Kagami’s hair as what she said started to sink in.
Marinette clenches her jaw shut, willing herself not to say anything.
“Now, since I have told you my name and who I am, it is only fair that you tell me yours. Which one of you is Kagami Tsurugi?”
“I am.” What happened to keeping your mouth shut Marinette? That was a solid plan, why did you ruin it?

Summary
Marc and Marinette are cousins.
They were raised together in a hidden nation named Moreé that trains children to be respectful protectors, using tools like weapons and advancements such as magic.
They both ascended into being two new gods over the nation as children. The two were granted the responsibility to watch over the city with 1,000 curses, Paris.
The two sent off to Paris with their respective families and settled in well, waiting for the day the curses began.
They went years living as regular kids going to school until finally the first curse appeared: Hawkmoth. Marinette was given the Ladybug miraculous by Master Fu and kept it a secret from everyone besides Marc.
While Ladybug fights on the frontlines with Cat Noir, Marc works in the background, gathering whatever clues he can.
They do all this while juggling the life of regular teenagers.

Mariam (Marinette) is Damian's older sister.
As Mariam dismounted the bike, she pushed Damian forward and said in a clear voice, her eyes contacting Batman's White lenses. “This is Damian Al-Ghul Wayne. Son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al-Ghul.”
All the people in the bat cave sucked a deep breath in. Their shock clear even through their masks.
“He means no harm.” Mariam continued. “This is the first chance we have got to free him from the league. He has no blood on his hands. Me and Talia wish that you'll protect your son.”
“What does this mean?” Damian said, turning around. His sister was crying. Tears pouring down her cheeks. “YOU HAVE TO STAY! YOU CAN'T LEAVE! I WON'T LET YOU!”

Summary
Marinette, at eleven years old, finds a magic ring and becomes friends with the deity that resides inside of it. Years down the line - after multiple thefts of other miraculi, a new one emerges from the shadows. The butterfly, with an evil wielder calling himself Hawkmoth. Luckily, she has a partner who doesn't believe in the superstitions of the cat miraculous. With heroes coming left and right, trying to reclaim the miraculous from Mister Bug and steal hers, Lady Noire turns the tables on them and steals theirs instead - causing this mysterious guardian figure to continue to send out more.
(Note: I did change the age to make Marinette a few years older because I had no way to get from her being nine to Hawkmoth terrorizing at 15 (now 14.) Please lmk if you find anywhere that I forgot to change her age)
(Note note note: I don't really have an ending yet? Idk what I want it to be (romance? Lila is exposed? (Is she even gonna be in this fic?) Hawkmoth defeat? no clue.) And, of course, the obligatory I'm really bad at summaries warning. Help.)

Alternatively, Marinette runs away from the League at the ripe old age of 8, leaving her twin, Damian behind to wonder if his sister ever made it out alive or was buried 6 feet under.
Then after Slade's attack, with his grandfather dead and the League in shambles, Damian finally has the opportunity to find out what happened to his sister.
Meanwhile, newly named Guardian Marinette Dupain Cheng was busy pummeling Hawkmoth’s ass into the ground while simultaneously ghosting the Justice League.
Alternatively, Batman has an aneurysm trying to figure out who the fuck Ladybug is and Damian has a mental breakdown trying to stop him.
