At the end of first year, Harry pocketed the Philosopher's Stone- in a secret pocket that everyone else missed.
Now, two years later, Harry is in his third year, his friends are having the time of their lives in Hogsmeade, there's an escaped mass murderer running around, and Harry is going stir-crazy.
