Summary
After being stored for almost three decades, Nicky isn’t surprised the rajika tasted stronger, richer, but now he almost wishes he hadn’t had that last shot. He’s not worried about snoring, though. He knows Joe never cares. Joe, now busy pressing their groins together, a hand sneaking under Nicky's shirt, palming his stomach, reaching for his heart–
‘It’s my new boyfriend.’ The words sound absurd even now, maybe especially now, and for a moment, Nicky wonders if he misheard them entirely.
He might have. He should ask Joe for clarification now that it’s just the two of them, but Nicky– he doesn’t want Joe to stop. He needs Joe’s hands, and Joe’s tongue, and the half words being whispered against his ear. Most of all, he needs Joe’s fire, for Nicky’s body still remembers the crash and the feeling of freefall crowded by the moment he stopped breathing as the water swallowed them whole. He has showered since, yes, but Nicky still can feel ice inside his bones, and he needs to be warmed from within.
What happens after Joe and Nicky leave the table?
(Smut, smut is what happens, and also feelings)

Summary
A perfectly placed sunbeam filters in through the half-opened curtains of the bedroom and presses, warm and intrusive, against Frenchie’s eyelid. It’s squeezed shut tight in protest against the orange glow for just a spare few moments. At least until the smell of stale sex and bodies wakes him the rest of the way. Frenchie pulls himself from the tangle of limbs on the bed, feet pressing firmly on the rug beneath before he stretches.

Summary
It smelled like piss. He knew it was his own, his shorts were stiff with the way it’d dried. He was sore, not just where the handcuff around his ankle rubbed and chaffed, but everywhere. Serge rested his head against the radiator, thankful that at least this time it wasn’t turned on, that he wasn’t left here sweating on the creaking hardwood floors of their cheap motel. Alone. Forgotten about. Again.

Summary
“I think I am a mistake,” Nicolò confesses.
“I thought God didn’t make mistakes.”
“You tell me.”
Andromache nudges his shoulder. “I do not think you are a mistake.”
“If there is to be a man to walk the world for thousands of suns, let it be a man like Yusuf,” Nicolò says. “A man who understands the weight of the sword, who trades in kindness, loyalty and honor. A man who can find beauty in a simple sunrise.”
“And what of a man like you?” Andromache asks.
“There are already too many men like me in this world,” Nicolò answers. “And we can cause more than enough damage within a mortal lifespan.”
Andromache is silent next to him. Somehow, Nicolò knows she understands. For as old as she is, she has likely seen far too many men like him already.
They stand in silence for a few minutes before she asks, “Do you love him?”
Nicolò ponders for a moment. “I do not think love is enough.”
Nicolò di Genova has lived a long life. He has much to show for it, but somehow still nothing at all.
This is Nicky's companion piece to 'Beautiful Ghosts'. 'Beautiful Ghosts' should be read first (but likely not imperative).
