If Perseus were human, this would be patent desire. If he were human, the rough palm laid on Nico’s face, seeming to suck at his skin as Perseus pushes up from the water between Nico’s knees and leans over him, staring with those huge, strange eyes, would be blatant affection.
Perseus isn’t human, but Nico is, and so is prone to forgetting why that would make any difference.

Summary
Dana Scully went to New England hoping for a weekend of rest and relaxation. After becoming embroiled in an X-Files case, she tries to snatch a few moments of peace before returning to Washington.
She has all the ingredients for a relaxing night in, a bubble bath, classical music, and a glass of good wine but naturally, her phone won't stop ringing. Finally, against all the odds, mixing business with pleasure works out just fine.
This is a missing scene set before the final scene in 'Chinga' (Season 5). This is my entry for the Unofficial Channels 'Vacation Snapshot Challenge' (Any member of the X-Files team takes a well-deserved vacation. Any rating, 2,000-5,000 words)

Her balance betrays her and she topples forward, knees hitting the edge of his chair. With a fluid motion Skinner hoists her upward and forward, onto his lap, where she leans in until their foreheads touch but somehow manages not to meet his eyes.
"I thought we agreed not to do this at work," he says, voice hushed even though they are probably the only ones left on this floor.
