Summary
Izuku stood on the rooftop.
It had been the site of his most vivid memory:
“Toshinori⸻ no⸻ All Might,” Izuku gripped his backpack’s yellow straps tight, “even if I don’t have a quirk, can I become a hero?”
Izuku remembered tired words:
“The Symbol of Peace cannot be daunted by evil. Pros are always risking their lives. I cannot simply say, ‘You can be a hero even without power,'" ⸻ a twinge of sympathy.
"If you want to help others, then you could also become a police officer. But you also have to consider what’s realistic, young man.”
Izuku opened his eyes and sucked in a breath.
Toshinori's eyes had flashed with surprise when Izuku had thrust him over the building’s ledge.
It was from this very rooftop Izuku had thrown his idol.
It was from this very rooftop Izuku felt One for All rush to his fingertips.

“You’re friends… with Triton?” Percy asked. Ridley nodded stoically as Triton himself looked as if he wanted to figure out how to drown. A feral grin touched Percy’s lips. Triton never let him near his friends… or even know their names. For a while, Percy was convinced he just didn’t have any. That certainly made more sense than him being friends with someone as nice as Ridley. “Why?” he asked, and Triton’s eyes narrowed.
“King Poseidon paid me to,” Ridley told him. Ah. Percy figured he was joking but gave an understanding nod anyway. Triton pinched the bridge of his nose. “I’m guessing I’m needed at the banquet?” he asked him, and Triton gave a slight nod. “Very well, Lord Perseus,” he nodded. Oh. There was a banquet? That at least explained why nobody was back from their duties yet… Did this mean he had to be bored another three hours? Not that he would have enjoyed the banquet. Rhode had forced him to attend exactly one formal event, and he accidentally blew something up.

“This… this would qualify as a mental breakdown, right?” Triton asked, frowning over his shoulder to where Percy was still fuming in the corner. The lady at the counter curiously glanced over before lifting a questioning brow. “My brother – half-brother, technically, I have much better breeding – decided to run away from home to where our father can’t reach him and now he won’t leave. And now I can’t leave unless he leaves,” Triton continued. Percy opened his mouth to object that wasn’t what happened at all, but the tyrant only waved a hand to silence him. “He’s seen war or whatever, so if you could maybe just drug him then I’ll throw him into a suitcase and we can be out of here by the Summer Solstice!”
Silence. Finally, the woman cleared her throat and turned to Percy.
“I’m guessing he’s the one you want checked into the mental hospital?” She asked. Triton gasped as Percy punched the air in victory.
“Aha!”

Getting in trouble works a little differently when your parent is an all-powerful god. Sometimes you have to escape to the land beyond gods and get your immortal brother turned human to drag you back so you can be exploded a million pieces. You know, normal teenage stuff.
