Summary
Angel and Husks' second attempt at babysitting little Aurora went slightly better than the last time. That is to say, it could be considered at least a mitigated disaster rather than an unmitigated one.
“C’mon, Rors, work with me here!” Angel pleaded with the wailing infant in his arms. Rory had been crying for a solid hour and a half non-stop. They had tried everything to calm her. They fed her and checked her diaper, Husk even took Vaggie’s advice of using his wings to play peek-a-boo. That only made her cry harder, wounding the old sinner’s pride a little.
Angel was now pacing across the lobby of the hotel, bouncing Rory in his upper arms. He even recruited the aid of Wiggles but even the power of plush piggies failed to calm the wailing child. “Look, I know ya miss ya Moms but they just need a little time to themselves to do grown-up things. They’ll be back soon, I promise.”

Summary
Post the Exorcist Battle, the Hotel has been rebuilt, and the usual routine has resumed. Sort of.
Between one dazzling new event organized by Charlie and the next, Husk has realized he has a problem: something flutters in his stomach every time he thinks of Angel — the irritating, brazen, and adorably exasperating Angel Dust. Something he has absolutely no intention of admitting to the person in question.
Night after night spent at the bar counter, Angel realizes he has the same, damn problem. However, breaking down the walls that Husk — always taciturn and grumpy — seems to have built against the world feels like an almost impossible task.
Just like a rainbow, where each color is different yet essential to the others, Husk and Angel will discover — with an emotional and colorful rollercoaster ride — despite their traumas, addictions, and inability to communicate their feelings, that they simply cannot stay apart from one another.
Or: slices of (hellish) life in which Husk and Angel slowly became aware of their feelings. Rom-com and rainbow coded.
