Summary
Tobirama and Izuna had exchanged blows many times. Tobirama thinks he knows his rival, or at least well enough to avoid surprises. And while Izuna has always managed to keep him on his toes, Tobirama encounters the truly unpredictable when he finds his foe in a desperate and vulnerable state. There are countless distractions on the battlefield, but how Tobirama never noticed Izuna's pheromones is both baffling and irrelevant now. All he knows is that he can't get enough of them.
A mutual curiosity leads to short-sighted decisions, and before they know it their tussles extend past the battleground and into the bedroom. Indulgence becomes desire, desire becomes obsession, and obsession leads to destruction. Izuna knows their relationship is doomed, and as he watches the fire consume everything he realizes his clan is too.

Y/N knew very little about this person staying with him. His village rarely got travelers. It was so small and out of the way with no major routes going through and had no major desirable resources. So if someone passed through they were either on their way to some other unimpressive tiny town or hopelessly lost. So when this mysterious man arrived inquiring about a place to stay for an extended period of time, Y/N was intrigued and more than happy to offer his home to someone with more worldly knowledge. Unfortunately for him though, this stranger seemed very closed off and antisocial. All he knew was that his name was Itachi, that he appeared to be an omega, and was very VERY sick.

The war is over. After all is said and done Sasuke has finally returned to Konoha. But while the world around him has rebuilt and moved on, he struggles to find his place back in the village. No one expects him to though. He had anticipated his teammates to welcome him back with open arms, and they did, but it didn't change everything that had happened. It didn't make the return any easier. It's only by complete happenstance that the face Sasuke keeps running into, aside from his old teammates, is Lee. Lee may not know the full story, but he does know that he is happy to have a comrade back, and even happier to be the first to welcome him home.

“I wish I could take this pain from you,” Izuna said earnestly.
Madara felt nauseated with guilt, he returned the firm grip and shook his head, shaking away the very notion.
“No, it’s I who wishes I could take this from you.” There was a desperation in Madara’s voice. In the spaces between the words he silently begged Izuna’s forgiveness for failing him and silently pleaded with any sort of deity to make it so and switch their places. Madara felt his eyes sting with tears. They were useless to gauge how much Izuna was trying to soothe him, but the tear ducts were still fully functioning.
Madara is blind. Izuna is dying.
