When Elphaba Thropp arrives at Shiz University, she plans to keep her head down, focus on music production, and avoid causing a commotion. She does not expect to be talked into auditioning for an acapella group with a silly name, or to fall head over heels for her charming roommate, Galinda Upland.
Late-night rehearsals and shared harmonies draw them closer, blurring the lines between friendship and something more.
(Basically if Wicked and Pitch Perfect kissed it'd be this story. With way less singing and much more lesbian yearning.)

Elphaba has been reading spells for The Wizard out of the Grimmerie and it’s slowly turning her wicked. Only Galinda can save Elphaba from herself.
Bookverse with more Musical elements getting added- with cannon divergence. Takes place right before and during Elphaba’s journey to see the Wizard but Galinda doesn’t get sent back in the carriage with a kiss-- she gets to stay and keep kissing her Elphie.
OR
Galinda is overtly gay and head over heels and Elphaba is oblivious and just wants to study magic.

That dopey smile, too, that she flashes at Elphaba charmingly, even in her current state. Those big doe eyes opening again to look at her, the slightly crooked smile crinkling at their edges. Instead of answering Elphaba’s question, Glinda giggles. “I like it when you call me that.”
“Mh?”
“When you call me pretty girl, it makes me feel all fuzzy.”

Summary
She had to see Glinda. There was no way magic could erase a love as deep as theirs. Glinda would remember that, as soon as they were in the same room together. Elphaba was sure of it. She wouldn’t allow herself to consider anything else.
Or: Two years post DG, Glinda the Good disappeared. Now she’s back, claiming she was held prisoner by the Wicked Witch of the West. This is news to Elphaba.
Upon reaching the Emerald City, Elphaba finds things are worse than she could have imagined-Glinda has almost no memory of the last two years and she’s afraid of Elphaba. After crashing Glinda’s wedding, Elphaba takes her deep into the Vinkus, where she must find a way to restore her memories or risk losing the love of her life yet again.
