He had learned early on that he was the only one able to take care of himself. He had one major goal get himself and his mother out of the estates and to do that he would need money.

Summary
After the death of the Joker, Jason decides to go to college. While in college he decides to get a job as a production assistant on the campy soap opera filming across the Burnside Bridge. His job as PA lasts until someone sees his chemistry with Linda Lee and decides he'll be a 'great actor.'
Little does he know that Linda Lee is actually Kara Zor-El, convinced any friendship or more with humans has to be distant because of her super strength and trying to make her way in the world outside of the Midvale Children's Home.
Little does either of them know that Dick Grayson ships it like FedEx, while trying to convince himself that "Rob Ducard" doesn't look like his dead brother, eating popcorn and listening to Wally give a speedster-style report on twenty years of soap opera lore.
