第二天早上艾兰迪在熟悉的金属搏动中醒来。拉刹克来他房内报告时已换回标准的泰瑞司服饰，而昨夜的奇遇像一场不合时宜的春梦。艾兰迪没有再追问。于是他们启程，前往升华之井。
