"So obviously Shane kept the Snuggly Team Canada Fleece™️, but Ilya didn’t know that until they finally move in together. Ilya is digging through Shane’s side of the closet looking for a hoodie to steal, and he finds it way in the back. He immediately finds Shane and makes him put it on, because one of his greatest regrets is having to push Shane away in Sochi, when all he wanted was to hold him tight.
They spend the rest of the day cuddling."

Summary
It happens against Montreal, because of course it does.
Shane Hollander has accumulated hundreds of penalty minutes across his career, same as every other hockey player, but none have ever been from fighting.
That is until a bad hit by his former teammates leaves his husband laid out on the ice and a comment that crosses the line has Shane dropping his gloves for the first (and hopefully last) time.
