Summary
Yes, Asahi-san had joked about poaching Rui right in front of everyone, but Tsukasa never thought he would go and actually try and do it. The way Asahi-san worked incredibly hard at Rui’s direction, the way his eyes sparkled the same way WxS’s did, it all felt soured now compared to before.
The main solace Tsukasa gives himself is that despite this, Rui still liked his acting enough to reject the offer.
Rui and Tsukasa both believe Asahi is interested in the other. Jealousy ensues.

Tsukasa’s blood ran cold.
A force knocked into Tsukasa before he had time to react. The revolver in his hand skittered away.
The detective was laying facedown, his assailant was leaning on his back, their knee on his spine, hands holding his wrists down.
“I know you must be eager to catch me, but to think you’d be dumb enough to fall for a trap like that!” An amused voice rang out from above Tsukasa.
(or; Detective Tsukasa Tenma is accepting of his stable life, even if it's been leaving him somewhat unsatisfied as of late.
