Kurapika has an older sister-left the clan after passing the test- and went out to explore the world. Alone by herself, she met Bisky, who became her master and mentor as well as Chrollo who she fell in love with. Unfortunately, her love for Chrollo is what cost the life of her clan- her fallen brethren's blood was on her hands. As punishment for rebutting Chrollo and his troupe, Pakunoda erased her memories. Years later, now stronger and with her memories back, she has passed the hunter exam with flying colors and became a hunter. During the exam, she met her young brother, Kurapika, and Hisoka- the pesky clown who she met back in Heaven's Arena after defeating him- who won't let her be. Now that she has completed the first part of her goal; she's onto the second: defeating the Phantom Troupe. The problem is; a certain clown is tagging along and her brother, Kurapika, is too.

She's going to pass, maybe collect a few bounties every once in a while, and go back to life as she knows it. But when the 287th Exams lead to her meeting a variety of fascinating people, she'll find that things aren't as simple as she thought they were; and that sometimes the things that are unexpected can be the most precious.
