Summary
Tentatively, Aki followed the leading edge of Angel’s wing, from half-way up the bone protruding from his shoulder, along the curve and downwards, over the large ‘flight’ feathers and back. A slow, smooth motion. If Angel’s hair had been soft, his wings were something else entirely, impossibly light, as if made from the air itself.

What would have happened, if Angel Devil and Aki Hayakawa had been given a bit more time between their first touch and their fateful trip to Hell? Maybe it would have went something like this, with Angel straying closer and closer to Aki's little band of adopted misfits, and the strange relationship between them becoming more difficult - then impossible - to ignore.

It’s not like he wants to touch Angel, of course not. Why would he want that, anyway? It’s just Angel. Just another Devil. There’s nothing special about him. Aki doesn’t want to brush his always messy hair at all. He doesn’t think about how soft Angel’s wings look and doesn’t wish to be hugged by them. And he most definitely does not stare at Angel’s mouth, his eternally pouty lips, and wonders how they’d feel pressed against his own.

Summary
Aki licked his lips, chapped in the cold weather. They have a warm pinkness to them after he’s done, and the colour reminded Angel of a limited cotton candy ice cream he’d gotten at one of the local vendors. It wasn’t their best flavour, it’s not a surprise it didn’t maintain its stay.
“If you were me… What would you do?”
He’s relieved that’s the question. It’s the easiest one he’s gotten all day. All week. Maybe the easiest one he’s gotten his entire life.
“That’s simple. I’d run and never look back.”

Summary
Angel cannot remember the last time someone touched him on purpose.
Sometimes it has happened in passing, without the other person knowing what it would cause. A brush of hands in a crowd, a cashier’s finger slipping when handing him his purchase, a small child mistaking him for someone else and grabbing his wrist.
He doesn’t care about those touches, nor about the life they take.
They aren’t meant, so they mean nothing to him.But Aki had reached out and touched him and meant it, had wrapped strong fingers around Angel’s wrist like a shackle, and pulled him back from the death Angel has been craving into a strong chest.
Angel can still feel Aki's hand on him; Aki makes sure to give him something more to feel.
