Summary
Jesse Klaver and Rob Jetten are two prolific Dutch left-wing politicians with a secret. Once, long ago, they were an item, but their differing worldviews and politics caused a rift that haunts them to this day. Then, during the 2021 elections, they find themselves in the same room for a very long time when the forming of the coalition starts. In between the meetings, debates, murder, intrigue, fights and political power struggles, Jesse and Rob find themselves longing for a very different coalition than their colleagues are looking for. As she took a quick step, getting a little dizzy after not moving from the same spot for so long, a figure ran in front of her with what looked to be the speed of light to drunk Financier, almost bumping into her, trying to make her way across to the bar. The thing that caught her eye, though, was the black, wavy, long hair with caramel swirls that kept up with the figure, flowing beautifully as she moved forward, leaving behind the faint scent of caramel. Those colors, the colors that were so familiar, and the scent that almost made Financier throw up; she had too many glasses.
She had to look twice—no, three times—to fully comprehend who she just witnessed.
As she looked to her right, she saw the only person she had been thinking of for five months.
