Summary
Bri Divil lived a normal life with her younger sister, Brinley Divil, with both of them having a fascination for pirates from stories passed down through generations, Bri opens a pirate museum to teach people about them, things were going well, until an infamous mummified pirate was found at the bottom of the sea and was sent to the museum.
I originally posted this on Wattpad and decided to go through it and write it here while proofreading it again, this is my first story on this site, and I hope anyone that finds this enjoys reading it.

Summary
Used to being on the outside looking in, Scott never expected anyone to actually take care of him, let alone Legundo. Amidst the hazy music, heavy drinks, and a stifling heat he can't quite explain, a drunken escape to a quiet alcove changes everything between them. If only they would remember it come the next day...

Summary
The crux of it is something small, the choice to leave and save himself or stay and offer protection to those too vulnerable to protect themselves. Scott knew that the choice would change him, no matter which he decided to do, that it meant everything for who he would become.
He chose to stay, and it meant everything and nothing. He chose to hold onto the pieces of him that remembered being human, being a protector.
He didn't know that it was more than just his future hanging in the balance.
*
Scott chooses to care back in the beginning, before he ever saw Oakhurst or met any of the people who would eventually be there. It makes all the difference but changes very little. At first.
