    Summary

"Have you ever molded clay, Mr. Kim?" Ricky asked while kneading the material with his gloved hands, pressing the clay with constant, soft movements. "It's quite unique, you know, the sensation of modeling something from scratch, giving artistic meaning and form to a chunk of the very ground that gives this world so much life," his gaze was fixed in the material on his hands, "to carve crevices and holes on this pure material, shape it into something that can help others complete from the most simple of the chores to the most dangerous of the challenges." The love on his tone was strong, that was his life's work after all, and such passion was a rare sight on this era. "I refuse payment beyond the relief I see on people's faces after being helped by my art."
"Can you help me then?" Gyuvin approached his small stool to the table, facing the focused artisan while eagerly giving space for himself between the wooden tools and the cutting blades to lay down his head on his arms, without taking his fond gaze from him. "Can you mold me like you do with the clay?"

    Summary

As a young priest, the last thing you'd think you'd have to deal with were monsters, but there was Kim Taerae fighting for his life while running right to a dark alley in the middle of the town screaming as a dokkaebi chase him down. Life was not easy these days, even with the advent of electric light and cars, doors with locks, monsters were still very much real.
In this era, the christian church grew from chasing down opponents in the last three centuries to fighting creatures of the night and securing the safety of the great cities. While people lived in normalcy, governments all around the world had contracts with the church to fend off these beasts from highly urban areas, and as payment the structure of the christian church was kept intact and well funded to develop and train new warrior priests within the Grail Organization.
Every year new priests were trained and put in the front lines to venture in the night to study, fight and, occasionally, defeat the monsters that haunt humanity.
