What Yuuji didn't expect: an instant deluge of tears from Megumi's pitch-dark eyes without so much as a wobble of his lips or a hitch of his breath. Yuuji moved without thinking, crawling up onto the bed and wrapping Megumi up in a bone-crunching hug.
"Of course I saved you," Yuuji whispered into his hair. Now that he was holding him, Yuuji could feel the way his entire body was shivering. "You asked me to, Megumi."
