Summary
Optimization is the natural and expected conclusion of an iterative design process to clearly defined objectives within clearly communicated constraints. This is a nearly universally applicable truth, whether the design intent under discussion has to do with features intended to bear mechanical strain, the process flow of a manufacturing line, or the intricate scheduling necessary to maintain a household of two busy professional engineers, a fifteen-month-old queen of the house with a wicked steamed vegetable fastball, and a three-legged cat whose escape attempts escalate in complexity every time he catches broccoli to the face.

Summary
Hiccup is used to strange requests, especially since he strong-armed Gobber to move Berk Nursery to carry predominantly native plants. Or maybe strong-armed is the wrong term, since the agreement was that if he stopped ordering Japanese Honeysuckle and Butterfly Bushes, then Hiccup would have to personally deal with every frustrated customer, but the consequence of said schroedinger's strong-arming is that Hiccup has gotten very used to dealing with strange requests.
This might be the strangest.

Summary
Taisho Inuyasha is at the last place he wants to be on New Years Eve: Miroku and Sango's engagement party. He's single, and came to the party unattached. He would rather be literally anywhere else.
Until he sees Higurashi Kagome, who is also at the party alone. And suddenly, maybe this party's not so dull after all.
Maybe, just maybe, he and Kagome can create their own kind of party.
Gorgeous commissioned artwork from kalcia!
