Chapter 1 starts like a classic redemption arc - evil tyrant gets saved by kind hero, learns humility, becomes better person. Standard stuff. Cute, even.
Then the bite happens. Then the rabies. Then the hunger.
And suddenly you're reading about a cannibal yandere and his willing victim who fall in love through blood and teeth and end with one inside the other literally. It does NOT end how you think. It ends worse. And better. And completely, utterly twisted.
