One year after learning Genji is alive, Hanzo makes his final trip to Hanamura. He asks McCree to accompany him. He tells McCree, and himself, it's because he needs help infiltrating the old Shimada manor one last time.
It is not because he's in love with McCree, and definitely not because he hopes, stupidly, that McCree might find out as they explore the old home he misses so dearly.

Jesse McCree prides himself on knowing when to get the heck out of dodge-- got a real knack for it, honed by a lifetime of experience. It’s how he managed to skip out on his job about a week before Jack and Gabe self-destructed, the whole shop burned down, and their investors washed their hands of the coffee business. Drifting from supermarket to bakery to caterer over the last five years has gotten pretty stale, though, so when Winston decides to revive the old place, McCree jumps at the offer to resume his post.
Things are definitely looking up, awkwardness with his old bosses aside–- at least until the guy with the dragon tattoo starts coming around.

Summary
Gabriel isn’t a bad man, and he knows it, but he sinks his thumbs into the spans of muscle just above McCree’s hipbones and thinks that he could be. If he enjoys this so much — knowing that they shouldn’t be doing any of it, for God’s sake, he’s McCree’s superior officer and it’s not like the kid trusts anyone else as much as him, still a rawboned stray at heart with the reflexive wariness to match — then maybe Gabriel is further gone than he knows already.

Summary
It started with a rather unfair trade-off; a hoodie for a really crappy bologna sandwich. Like, an Oscar Mayer, Kraft pseudo-cheese, extremely gross white bread kind of sandwich, half smashed in a Ziploc bag. What said disgusting, smashed sandwich and a two year old fleece hoodie had to do with Gabe’s now legendary downfall was almost mysterious, but if Gabe read into it, fate might have had something to do with it, too. Not that he’d ever been a big believer in fate, with or without the big F, but it’s the little things after all.
And he did eat the sandwich.
