“..Okay.. papa..” Will muttered. Looking him dead in the eye. He felt disgusting saying it. He gave the man an unpleased look.
“Good.” The man stated, firm, yet had a soft smile that didn’t match his voice.

Summary
When Mike was 12, he didn’t think he’d make it to 13, to be honest. Year after year, he went through something that he honestly believed he wouldn’t survive. It was when he did survive for the last time, that he wished he didn’t. He was 16, and didn’t think he’d make it to 18. Being 18, and now 19, he’s been living on borrowed time since.
Now that time comes to an end.

“I have a what?” Mason exclaims, eyes widening dramatically as he leans forward on the couch.
Will, ever patient, lays a hand on one of the legs he’s currently kneeling between, settled on the living room rug. “A sister,” he repeats. His voice is a stark contrast to Mason’s, all gentle and calm.
“Yeah, I got that part,” Mason says, dangerously toeing the line into condescension. “What does that mean? Did you go out and adopt a kid while I was at school?”
