Zinnia's symbolize lasting affection and daily remembrance. But how does Alastor know that...? He doesn't recognize these flowers, yet they feel so achingly familiar. And who is the man he always sees holding them? An innocent bouquet of flowers in a hazy, distant memory. Why can't he remember? Are these memories even his? Is it related to the person who owns his soul...?
And why does he not know who it is?

No mortal shall ever remember the supernatural they witnessed in life after death, and Lucifer cannot bear to see the man he loves not remember who he is.

What if Alastor didn't leave after he got injured in his fight against Adam? What if Charlie was almost killed when she stepped up to fight the First Man? What if Lucifer was done playing Heaven's game when he arrived to save the hotel?
What if things ended a different way?
Or
Lucifer is pissed, and all of hell shakes with his fury. Nobody hurts his daughter and gets away with it. Oh, and Alastor is also there.

Summary
Charlie was expecting a lot of things to happen during their battle against Vox. Honestly, after the show that Alastor put on -- breaking deals and calling in favours left and right -- nothing should have surprised her anymore. Yet she could never have prepared herself for the strange seraphim who joined the fight, or to watch her father be murdered right in front of her.
Or:
The battle against Vox is interrupted by an unexpected guest, and Lucifer is revealed to have had a plan in the works all along.
