Dreams are sacred. It's a land of infinite possibilities, where your heart is laid bare and anything is possible. When people say eyes are a window to the soul, they should include dreams in that description as well, as they show you what you truly desire.
That's why - when sharing a dream with this bratty, good-for-nothing (this was a lie, Subaru had to remind herself, she was actually way too good at way too many things), and frankly horrible princess, Subaru Natsuki couldn't help but be captivated.
After all, it wasn't like he was going to be isekai'd into her world like an anime, right?... Right!?

Honestly, Subaru should have expected this. Beatrice was a 400 year old Great Spirit, so it makes sense that her common sensibilities are... different from theirs. Plus, she isolated herself in the Forbidden Library for hundreds of years.
You could say she is not like them.
