A bounty hunter evaluates the situation. Boba said immediately: “Take me to see it so I can decide whether or not to keep quiet.”
“Mm, no. You’re not trustworthy.” Kote tugged his hair again. Boba swatted his hand. “But if you behave, maybe we’ll let you change their bath sand once we go off to war.”

Seemingly unaware of his patron’s change in demeanor, the man shrugged. “Places I’ve worked, we get a lot of war vets. Paranoid types. They don’t seem to have a lot of credits to their name, either.”
It was a deflection as much as Cal’s own statement had been, but he relaxed all the same. Whatever he might know or suspect, the bartender clearly wasn’t angling for a fight. Besides, he supposed he fit the description of ‘paranoid war vet’.
Not that he could tell the man that, of course.
