Wednesday moves her hand from the back of Enid’s head to her cheek, making it obvious that if Enid doesn’t want this, she’ll pull away. But when Enid immediately melts in her touch, eyes fluttering shut, Wednesday feels. She feels anger, because how dare Enid’s mother do this to her.
She wants to say that. She wants to say it all. She wants to go and storm over to the Sinclair home and yell at them until they understand how perfect their daughter is.

“Wednesday, it’s quite cold, huh?” Enid said, holding her girlfriend’s hand. “You barely have any layers, are you okay?” Wednesday turned her head to the bubbly girl.
“I’m fine, thanks for being worried about me,” Wednesday tried to look strong for Enid, and it worked. All the goth was wearing was an oversized black jacket, a white and black shirt with shorts, and black stockings with white stripes at the top. She said she wasn’t cold and that she’s dealt with colder temperatures, though the latter wasn’t a lie, the former was.
Wednesday was cold. Extremely to be exact
