It's the end of their sixth year, and they're in love. War looms in the background.
They got together only a month ago, so they’re still in spring, still blooming. Drunk on their own sickly sweet scent.
Their bodies touch in new ways but the life that sprouts from the places where they meet skin to skin, it’s already familiar. Remus already knows it like the back of his hand. Maybe their love has become more visible only now, with kisses on the cheek and clasped hands and winking across tables. But Remus has felt it for almost six years. Has felt it taking root all throughout his body, from his fingertips to the capillaries at the very core of him.

Okay, it doesn’t really matter. Point is, there is no distinction. Are the bacteria in your stomach symbiotic? Or are they just you? There is no answer, but if I had to come up with one to get into my dorm, I’d say that stuff that always moves together is part of the same organism. You always carry your bacteria around with you, ergo it’s you.
I think my eyes are you. They go wherever you do.

Summary
It’s nice sitting here, in Regulus’s dorm. Nice to get away from that desk he always does his homework on. Nice to not have all this noise around him. Nice to not have someone a few feet away at all times, someone who wants something from him — advice, a funny joke, a shoulder to cry on, help with an essay.
He loves to help people. But sometimes he feels like he’s on a sinking ship, each request another bucket of water spilt on deck, and no one expects him to need a lifeboat because he’s such a good swimmer.
He still needs someone to hold him.
James is overwhelmed by homework and worried about his friends. Regulus reminds him that he needs to take care of himself too.

Summary
Lily had tamed the butterflies long ago. Befriended them. Heading to Hogwarts for the sixth time, she even welcomed the fluttering wings in her stomach, relished in the excitement of hugging Mary, talking with her about the summer, about what NEWT subjects they're going to take, about that delicious strawberry sorbet Lily had eaten on her way to the station. They'd sent letters, of course, stacks of Mary's stood carefully placed in the left drawer of Lily's desk back at home, but ink on parchment couldn't compare to this, Mary's voice like sunrays on a blue-skyed day, clear and bright and warm, a playful melody in Lily's ears. Together they were a symphony. Violins and cellos reverberating between them, the strings tying them together and surrounding them in harmony.
Lily's not nervous, she's just excited, okay?
(basically, a short and sweet get-together oneshot, a bit of self-indulgence and pushing the marylily agenda)

Gazing over the peaks in the distance, his head clears a bit, breaths come easier. The fears are still there, Remus suspects they will be there for years to come. The war is here, after all. But at least he doesn't feel like he's suffocating under the pressure of it all.
