Harry shrugged, his shoulders brushing against Louis’. “I think since I was young, I craved that feeling, though. I didn’t always hate being a prince, but over time, certain aspects of it just bothered me so much. I remember being four years old and realising that every person in the world knew my name, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted that. Louis stayed quiet, allowing Harry the space to open up because he knew Harry wasn’t looking for advice, but just someone to confide in. What he wished he could tell him was that in the short amount of time that he’d known the prince, in Louis’ eyes, he couldn’t be insignificant if he tried. As Harry was pulling off, Louis pulled open the glove box, dropping both their phones in the cup holders and rifling through the inside of it.
“What’s wrong?”
Finding the lube, Louis tossed it in Harry's lap. “You’re hot. It’s annoying.”
It’s the summer before Louis' senior year of college and he’s spending it getting drunk with his friends, working an internship he hates, and hooking up with Harry, the ‘straight’ frat boy he met in January. There’s only six weeks until school starts.

"Sorry, I’m sorry. What did you say ?" he asks in a small voice and his mom gestures towards the man sitting at his desk.
"I was just explaining that your husband left letters for you, a fair amount." he says quietly.
"Letters ?" Harry frowns in confusion, biting his cheek as he keeps twirling and turning the ring around his finger. The man gives him a small smile and nods towards the small paper in his hand, adjusting his glasses on his nose.
"To my husband," he starts, and Harry chokes on a shaky breath, his heart aching and his eyes burning. "Harry, I left you those letters, so you have memories of me, of us, even when I’ll be away. I hope they’ll help you when you feel alone. And never forget, I’m still here my angel, even if you don’t see me."
