Crocodile can't figure out why he was feeling so unsettled. His emotions were getting the better of him, no amount of cigars or rum were scratching the itch. When a storm picks up on Karai Bari Island, the appearance of someone he never thought he would see again, the realization it is the anniversary of Whitebeards death simply breaks the dam and Crocodile falls into familiar arms and takes what comfort he can.
OR
'Crocodile picks up his pace as he makes it to his tent but stops just short of the entrance, hesitating he can see the fabric had been moved from where he had left it in the morning. Crocodile prepared himself for a stupid member of Buggy’s crew to be hidden inside, perhaps placing another mysterious gift, as he raised his hook and pushed the entrance to one side as he walked inside.
“What the hell do you thi-”
Standing in the centre of Crocodile’s tent was a man, slightly taller than himself, board set shoulders, in a large green hooded cape and as he turned and pulled down the hood, a large ploom of long black hair released, just as Crocodile entered. He immediately locked eyes with the familiar angular face of Monkey. D. Dragon.'

This is a little Halloween prompt that got wwaayyy out of hand!
The prompt was; Devil Fruit horrorand i ended up writing one of the MANY ideas I wanted to explore for Crocodiles' backstory and it got away from me. This is not my set in stone headcanon, its just an idea.

The rain had seeped into his body as he crawled up the beach, the storm still raging overhead. The devil fruit kept absorbing the water, trying its best to get Crocodile dry. The Suna Suna no mi, The devil fruit he stole from his fathers captains quarters after the long conversation about not wishing to be the next user of the Arashi Arashi no mi, he much preferred the heat of the desert over the chaos of a storm. -

Tsuru found herself waiting at the gate, adorned with small wanis as Doflamingo's gaudy bubble gum pink convertible pulled up.

Crocodile attends a party with the intention of getting information; unfortunately a surprise quest causes a change of plans.
'Crocodile had been to one of Ivankov’s parties before. Loud and obscene, always attracting many big names of both pirates and members of the Revolutionary army alike, but never Marines. In other words, perfect to eavesdrop and get new information. This particular event required you to wear a mask, so Crocodile had fittingly chosen a golden crocodile half mask to cover his eyes. There was no point in trying to hide his identity, his sheer size, hook and cigar would out him as soon as anyone laid eyes on him.'
