    Summary

“The world seems full of good men – even if there are monsters in it.” - Bram Stoker, Dracula

Usually, the long climb up the barren hillside means he sees any of his visitors coming long before they reach him. He knows all their faces too, by now; even the villagers who do not attend his services. This man is new.
He is well-dressed. Exceptionally well-dressed. Gale has seen neither cloth nor embroidery so fine since he arrived here. His stark white hair is precisely styled, the curls barely moving in the not inconsiderable wind.
He turns as Gale approaches. His hearing must be astonishing.
Gale almost does a double take. Though the fashion, when he was a boy, was to be pale, he has never seen a man as pale as this. His skin is like porcelain, like so many women would have killed to have been born with. There's something almost uncanny about it, in actuality. On the wind-blown clifftop, it makes him seem like a ghost. A beautiful ghost, undoubtedly. But a ghost, all the same.
“Good morning, and blessings be upon you,” Gale calls. The man’s placid expression twists, for a moment, into something like pain.

    Summary

Astarion thought he'd escaped his past. Then he inherited it.

Summary: When Astarion learns that he has inherited both Cazador's title and his horror show of a palace, Astarion wants to ignore the whole mess in the worst way, but Gale insists they return to Baldur's Gate and do the paperwork to truly rid themselves of the last of Cazador's ugly legacy. However, the house is haunted and has its own agenda for Astarion. Between a bureaucracy more convoluted than the schemes of the Dead Three, corrupt Patriars who want Astarion to step into Cazador's old shoes, and a tax bill large enough to crush Waterdeep, Gale and Astarion learn that Cazador is almost as much trouble dead as he was alive.

Canon Caveats: Plausible as post-canon canon-compliant fic, with some magical realism and exceptions to strict 5e magic rules.

    Summary

"He’s too obvious, thinking he’s bluffing, but the moment the suit jacket came off, so did some of the veneer of the powerful, calculating businessman and it was so easy to see the eager softness beneath. Astarion’s learned never to underestimate the power of a costume, or of removing it."

    ***

Expert art and antiquities fraudster Astarion Ancunin knows what he does best - the long con. After weeks of careful planning he's zeroed in on his latest mark, the famous, handsome, billionaire venture capitalist: Gale Dekarios. Gaining access to his luxury penthouse full of priceless works is easy enough. What he didn't bank on being difficult is keeping his focus on his job, and not on his target's gorgeous eyes and far-too-talented mouth.

A short, modern AU Bloodweave fic that is a shameless vehicle for filth.

Sharp man was good at hunt. Sharp man found him on hunt. Crept up on Gale with eyes that shone red in the night like fish scales. Said he would rip him up with his too-long claws and eat him with his too-long teeth... but Gale had shrunk too small. Would make for a bad meal, sad and sour and not worth the work of a kill.

More ways Gale was no good.

Or- fixing Gale's horrible self-worth issues by (consensually!!!) hunting him for sport! For the Baldur's Cave monosyllabic writing challenge 💜

    Summary

A scream wakes her, it cuts through her sleep and makes her eyes pop wide. At first, there is just dark, her chest loud with a quick thud that shakes her, that makes her fur rise in fright. Then the dark sky through the front of the cave goes bright with a crack of light and she sees them. Near her loved one, the big warm one, the one who has the soft sweet voice and warm chest that soothes and purrs.

Now that big warm one is flat on the ground.

    She runs.
