Nico looks between Ian and Mickey, and Mickey squeezes Ian’s waist. Ian grins at him, and Mickey takes another swig of beer. He’s starting to feel light-headed, and he doesn’t think it’s the fault of the cheap, shitty alcohol.
“They're offerin' $10,000,” says Nico.
Mickey splutters beer out of his nose.
“Fuck you, you waited ‘til I was taking a drink to tell me that part,” he snaps.It's not like Mickey intends to get roped into planning the celebrity wedding of the century, but hey, shit happens.

They had grown up together in the same neighbourhood, hell Ian had been friends with his sister for months now and yet their eyes had never met before. Okay, it was probably because Mickey never looked directly at people. No one. If he thought about it, it had always been that way. He was probably scared. Did he know that his soulmate would be a boy? Probably. That would explain it.

Ian stared down and shifted his newly sock covered feet back and forth. Part of him was relieved that Mandy had found out, he hated lying to her. But another part of him was terrified, because every other time someone had caught them, Mickey had pushed Ian away. He could see that same fight or flight battle twisting through the ex-con now.
(Set during 3.06 and running with the idea, "What if Mandy had walked in instead of Terry".)
