Summary
Hector loved his siblings.
He barely liked any of them.
Wait, no, this was uncharitable. He liked his siblings a fair share. He even made a great effort to like and get along with Paris, his new brother who was charming and not much else.Helen's presence made sense. Paris had…. Won her (somehow) in a divine contest (why was their family the target of divine attention, why?), and now she was Hector’s oversees possible warfare problem to handle.

He used to think a lot. He used to be good at it, praised even. He used to have a goddess drip praise into his ear and mold his mind between her fingers till it spilled strategies.
Odysseus of Ithaca used to be respected for his thinking, up until his thinking didn’t work – or his thinking didn’t account for traitors – and Odysseus of Ithaca became the slave of the hallways, and, on good days, the man in Paris’ bedchamber.or:

Summary
He offered something to the King of Gods, and apparently, the offer had been generous enough to have him whisked away. The crew, the one last solitary ship, remained still on a windless sea, going no direction for the whole night. Odysseus was returned to them at the crack of dawn, neither beast, nor the man from Ithaca.
He’d only said one thing. “We are free of debt” with none of the triumph the accomplishment would require. The ship started to move, not a lot, but at least it was something different than the stillness of the night, and the crew allowed themselves to breathe.or
