Summary
He offered something to the King of Gods, and apparently, the offer had been generous enough to have him whisked away. The crew, the one last solitary ship, remained still on a windless sea, going no direction for the whole night. Odysseus was returned to them at the crack of dawn, neither beast, nor the man from Ithaca.
He’d only said one thing. “We are free of debt” with none of the triumph the accomplishment would require. The ship started to move, not a lot, but at least it was something different than the stillness of the night, and the crew allowed themselves to breathe.or

Immortality weighs heavily on Diomedes, all while Odysseus and Penelope wrestle with their own mortality.

It was a statement, not a question, but he still nodded.

“The others at the palace had taken to referring to me as ‘The Son of Sisyphus’. I do not wish to be called that.”
He sounded pitiful, and yet there was still not any sign of that cursed emotion in her eyes. Instead there was something sharp and hair-raising about the way her pupils seemed to grow and then shrink the longer she looked at him.
“You are alone.”
“I am alone. . .” he whispered, knowing she heard him. “I do not wish to be forever.”
At the age of twelve Odysseus is ripped from his home and stripped of his titles after narrowly avoiding execution by his own father's hands. Unable to find stability, his wanderings lead him to Sparta. There he meets Menelaus and, by the other prince's encouragement, agrees to compete for Helen’s hand for the sake of food and shelter. Unsure of what comes next, Odysseus only knows one thing: his struggles are far from over. . .
Inspired by the non-Homeric myth of Odysseus’s father being Sisyphus rather than Laertedes, and my own love for a certain song that introduced me to EPIC.

The servant was knocking on the door in what was a private looking alcove of only three doors, before Menelaus thought to ask the servant that perhaps they might have accidentally brought him to the family quarters.
In which Odysseus plays Official Host for the first time, Menelaus is very impressed, Nireus has a great time, and ...Actually everyone has a great time.
