Steve nods, leans over and presses his cigarette into the ashtray between them.
“Same time and place tomorrow?”
Eddie flicks his gaze towards Steve who’s getting up, who’s about to leave.
The mixture of relief and disappointment that clashes inside of Eddie at Steve’s departure isn’t unfamiliar. He swallows down the urge to ask him to stay.“Yeah, sure.”
