While the world moves on, Cyberlife continues to try and reclaim Connor's program. Summary
Instead of dissolving with Viktor like Jayce expected, he gets sent a decade into the past when Viktor didn’t even know him yet. Of course the logical action to take is to kidnap him. Meanwhile Viktor, twenty-two years old, figures that hey, as long as he can research magic, this isn’t too bad of a predicament.
Or: Post-Season 2 Jayce and Season 1 Viktor, the grief of having lost your soulmate while having to look at his younger version who doesn’t even know you, the endless exhaustion of being a second-hand love and also science.

“Come on,” was all Jayce said. “I’m taking you home.”
Viktor shook his head, eyes widening slightly. After a moment of trying to organize his racing thoughts, he looked down and said,
“I am not sure being alone would be the most responsible thing for me at the moment.”
“Alright, well… No problem, then.”
The other man looked up, confused. It still sounded very much like a problem. The sentiment must have been clear on his face because Jayce quickly explained.
“Viktor, I am officially inviting myself to sleep over.”If Viktor had ever imagined getting Jayce into his bed, it would not have been like this.

Summary
He’d told Viktor they’d finish it together. And they had.
Maybe that’s what was always meant to happen. Maybe it wasn’t. Maybe the future he’d seen was as much a possibility as their being here now at the other end of the universe.
He isn’t sure. What he is sure about is that, for whatever reason, they might just be able to start something entirely new too.
