'He couldn’t stop, not for a second. His lungs stung and ached, begging for a break, for air. Yet, he kept his pace, not giving into the pain. The strain on his body made him dizzy, he couldn’t process what was happening around him anymore. Despite this, he still ran. It’s all he could do.'
N just wanted to escape his past- leave behind the continuous abuse and experimentation. Whilst chasing freedom, he gets severely injured. Uzi, exploring the forest surrounding her town, finds the golden retriever on the brink of death. She decides to save him and take him in, but unknown to her, he was more than a helpless dog.
Or
N has the ability to transform into a dog and Uzi takes him in as her pet, being none the wiser. N doesn't know how to reveal to her that he isn't just a dog, but a human guy.

her life is pretty boring, and she would describe herself as just another plain person living a mundane life. urban exploration has brought spice into her life, but it's not something she can do easily every day. there has been a popular vr game that has been out for a while, and she wonders if it could be her new form of escape.
the game was a huge multiplayer game, like vrchat on steroids, but she was never into multiplayer games growing up and making online friends wasn't on her priority list. she just wanted something interesting—something fun—but she didn't feel the need to get close with random people she would never meet in real life. she was just "pomni," and only her name should be enough for her group of strangers.
so, how’d she end up close to him, of all people?
