    Life in the imperial palace was… something. It had only been two weeks, and yet Shen Yuan was slowly losing his mind. He couldn’t tell if that was due to the growing bloodlust or having to deal with harem politics. Probably both, if he was being honest.

    Shen Yuan’s biggest problem, however, came in the form of Emperor Luo himself. It was obvious to the staff within the palace, and probably the wives too if he was being honest, that Luo Binghe had already grown bored of his newest wife. Based on the sheer number of wives the man already had, and the numerous conquests that filled the songs and yellow pages of their world, this was probably a common occurrence.

    What was uncommon, though, was the sight of Luo Binghe before him.
