“Geto-san,” Gojo snorts. “So polite towards a guy who deserted.” The bitterness in his voice is so strong that it makes Kento flinch. “No, I wasn’t in love with Suguru. I never loved anyone, at least not yet.” Gojo is wearing his glasses, and he slides it down the bridge of his nose to stare at Kento. “But you, I could love you.”
He says it in a way that is so casual, like he is talking about the meal they just had. It’s not a joke, or teasing – Gojo is serious. Kento should take it as an offense, it almost feels dismissive. Instead, he feels his heart start beating faster, but he has years of concealing his own feelings to let them show now.
“Because I’m so easy to love?” He asks, sarcastic.
“No.” Gojo shakes his head. “I could love you because you would never love me back. And that is what I need.”

Gojo can’t help it; he laughs. With how breathless he is from Nanami still writhing against him to the incredulity of the situation because in what fatal world hanging at the brink of extinction could Nanami not be considered attractive. Could Gojo not want to tell him again and again until his throat runs raw and his breath is ripped from his lungs. To the point where he is gasping for air and the desire to tell Nanami how he sees him every day he gets the chance.

After a moment of silence, Nanami blinked up at him, his eyes for once unobscured by sunglasses. He looked very unimpressed. “Is this supposed to be like one of those movies you made me watch?” he asked. “Because I don’t think you’re cute enough for this move to work.”
Satoru was a goner.
But he must have been cute enough, more than cute enough, because somehow, some way—they ended that night tangled in the fancy sheets of Nanami’s bed.

Nanami is woven into Gojo’s fabric just as Gojo is woven into him.
That is why, when Gojo - uncharacteristically quiet, unusually serious - suggests a more physical progression of their growing intimacy, Nanami is not surprised.
Because the weight of this thing between them had always been a slow, inevitable collapse. Because he is no longer resisting the wild, joyful thing inside him - he is chasing it.
And so when Gojo asks, Nanami does not hesitate.
